I was brought up in Ottery St Mary, attending the Kings School and then Bicton where I studied outdoor adventure. I went on to work at Finlake in South Devon then joined Blue Chip, where I then took on the role of Operations Co-ordinator – managing over 100 luxury holiday lets.
I jumped at the chance to join Exe Mortgages in January 2020 as I really wanted to work for a smaller company and change the direction my career was going. I’m a good all-rounder, multiskilled and keen to take on any challenge. While I was originally taken on as an administrator the job quickly evolved. As office manager I now have six consultants to organise!
Day to day I organise their diaries, oversee the admin team, sort out our presence at events such as Hospiscare’s Twilight Walk and exhibitions such as the Cornwall Self Build Show, Southwest Home Renovation Show and Honiton Show, including booking stands and creating material to take.
I love that the work is so varied, there’s no one day that’s the same. I even enjoyed managing the recent office move! The team here are really great, that’s what makes it such a good place to work.
Outside the office you’ll usually find me outdoors – I enjoy walking in the countryside and helping my partner on the farm which is sheep and arable. I’m a big fan of rugby – I follow Wales, which is where I was born, and of course the Exeter Chiefs locally. I have plans to do more travelling – Canada is top of my list!
